You know, I had a nice long reply written for this, but what's the point? You can see exactly why there is no World Cup thread here, so I and millions of other Americans will continue to watch the Cup, even though our national team is out, because we know quality sport when we see it. 'Nuff said.

My brother broke a dudes foot playing in England. It can be a rough game.

And say what you want about it, atleast Soccer/Football doesn't stop every fucking 10 seconds and a 90 minute game is almost 90 minutes of play!

Ooops, we are both wrong. They just lost!

Spain and the Netherlands in the finals Sunday.

Duetschland does get to compete for third though. Then they say they speak italian third best, or not at all.

Spain has a better goal keeper I think, but Holland seems to be able to score more....
