Just to clarify:
It's not the distributor's fault we only got four cases. I have no problem with the way it was parceled out locally as more people probably got a chance to try it (me included) at The Nook, because it was already sold out at Liquor Express by 5 PM when I showed up.
The dearth of 9000 for the area/state is the only problem I had. I don't care WHO got them, because there wasn't enough to go around to begin with. And that's the brewery's doing, based upon Bell's consumption in the area, so I can't fault them ... I just wish we had gotten more because I definitely would've purchased a six pack or two. Or three. 'Cause I fucking LOVE black licorice and that is a TASTY beer.
As far as Brian being sick of The Nook, well, that's his opinion. And he's a contrary little bastard anyway.

Nothing against The Nook as they are certainly doing their part for beer culture, but I personally wish we had a beer bar with some
really great food, better atmosphere, a patio and better prices. I made the mistake of bringing some (mostly) non-beer snob friends to The Nook. Apparently it was German Food night, so we were subjected to polka music (which no one, including Germans, fucking
likes. Even at Oktoberfest. That's why they drink so much beer ... so they don't CARE about the music.) That coupled with the fact that two of our number couldn't get fucking Bud Light Lime (whatever.) and they dragged me out of there after one beer.
