ou know, we should probably put up the cliched bios and such, but let's face it ... you don't really care what our favorite movies are or what kind of beer we drink and shit like that. So here's who The Sideshow is/are or whatever:

Donnie Cox - Guitars, Vocals
Clint Gregory - Bass, skinflute
Rich Partain - Drums, Vocals

I could go on about how Donnie Cox is a fucking superstar of the Huntsville music scene and has played in too many successful acts to name and is a supercool solo acoustic artist with some major street cred. I could tell you how Rich was a founding member of the incredibly balls-out awesome group Witchdoctor's Opera and pretty much set fire to a large portion of North Alabama (metaphorically speaking) for many, many sweat-drenched years. I could say that Clint Gregory - a longtime member of Witchdoctor's Opera and veteran of kickass bands such as Casting Stones and Outshined - eats basses for breakfast, but that'd be a lie as he prefers bran cereal and dry toast with just a touch of jam or marmalade. But, I don't want to bore you with all of that marketing BS and make you think we believe our own hype ... or that we really have any hype. We're a fucking bar band. It's what we do. We do it well.

The Sideshow was formed in 2006 by the veteran musicians listed above and one other guy who is no longer with us. After a successful run we pursued other projects for a few years. Now, we're back. Basically because we all get along great and enjoy playing together. And we can always use the cash. We could've chosen another name, but, truth be told we're lazy and cheap. We still have the kickass original banner from years ago and the site is easily modified. Sometimes it doesn't have to be all serious band meetings about image and perception. Sometimes it's three laid back guys sitting around drinking beer and going:

"Hey. What are we gonna call ourselves?"

"I dunno."

"We still have all that shit from before. Wanna call ourselves The Sideshow?"

"Done."

And there you have it. Like before, this project that has absolutely no limitations as far as genre or possibly even good taste. Our setlist is diverse rock ranging from dancable POP stuff to harder-edged modern alternative to classic rock and all sorts of other craziness. (If we can get our hands on a klezmer, you bitches are in REAL trouble.) Basically, it's all fun shit that we wanted to play (or that was based on a dare) and thought people might enjoy. SO, come check us out. We hope you like what you hear. If not, hell, the cover was pretty cheap anyway. And you got your drink on, so quit bitchin' already.
